Two partners of ARQIS Rechtsanwälte have been honoured as “Top Lawyers” in this year’s WirtschaftsWoche-survey of the most renowned law firms and lawyers: Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier received the award for her advice on labour law, Dr. Jörn-Christian Schulze for his reputation in the fields of corporate law and M&A.

For the lists of the best German employment and corporate/M&A lawyers the Handelsblatt Research Institute (HRI) interviewed more than 4000 lawyers in 245 law firms about their most renowned colleagues. The list was then presented to an expert jury, which filtered out 54 law firms with 86 particularly recommended lawyers.

Again this year, several ARQIS lawyers are among the “Best Lawyers” in Germany: Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier received the award for her advice on employment law. Prof. Dr. Christoph von Einem and Andreas Dietl received the award for their reputation in the Mergers & Acquisitions segment. And while Dr. Jörn-Christian Schulze received the award for his services as a corporate lawyer, Dimitrios Christopoulos was appointed one of the best lawyers for litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution.

The leading legal advisors in the market are identified annually by the US publishing house Best Lawyers on the basis of an extensive peer-to-peer survey. « Prof. Dr. Christoph von Einem  Prof. Dr. Christoph von Einem is head of the ARQIS office in Munich. In the early years of 2000, he built up his reputation as one of the highly recognised players in the Munich Private Equity and Venture Capital scene. He is furthermore professor at the Technical University of Munich for “Entrepreneurship and Law” and heads the Munich Venture Capital Club.

« Dimitrios Christopoulos » directs the litigation practice of the firm. He specializes in conflict solutions relating to plant engineering and product liability. In addition, he regularly defends law firms and consulting firms in disputes.

Diese Liste wurde einer Expertenjury vorgelegt, die 54 Kanzleien mit 86 besonders empfohlenen Anwälten herausfilterte. Im Arbeitsrecht wählten Silvio Fricke (Bundesverband der Arbeitsrechtler in Unternehmen) und Ulrich Goldschmidt (Verband für Fach- und Führungskräfte), im Gesellschaftsrecht Claas Westermann (RWE) und Alexander Zumkeller (ABB), in beiden Gebieten Martin Schlag (Thyssenkrupp) und Achim Schunder (C.H. Beck).

ARQIS is once again one of Germany’s recommendable commercial law firms, which are regularly presented by the news magazine Focus in a special edition. 

ARQIS was awarded the label “Top Commercial Law Firm 2018“ in the fields of M&A, corporate and labour law. In this year’s edition, Focus also published a portrait of Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier, head of the firm’s labour law team and managing partner.

Employee data protection is another focus of the team. It has furthermore just accompanied the SE transformation of Traton, formerly Volkswagen Bus & Truck, on the side of the employee representatives.

The labour law team around » Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier « regularly advises the multi-sector retailer Tengelmann, e.g. with respect to the planned merger of Kaiser’s Tengelmann and Edeka. In addition, the team recently obtained a landmark decision before the Federal Labour Court regarding the limitation of employment contracts in connection with homeworking.

The transaction team has recently attracted attention with large-cap and mid-cap deals. Thus, the team around » Dr. Jörn-Christian Schulze « represented the sweets manufacturer Katjes at the entry into the vegan supermarket chain Veganz. It furthermore advised the nursing home operator Alloheim during the acquisition of the AGO Group, which operates 14 senior residence centers throughout Germany.
