ARQIS has advised Volkswagen on the establishment of a European Company (Societas Europaea/SE) in the new battery division. In the “PowerCo SE”, the VW Group will bundle all steps of the value chain for battery production.

The subject of advice was the accompaniment of the employee participation procedure, which resulted in the conclusion of a participation agreement between the employees and the board of management, as well as the creation of effective employee representation structures at the Salzgitter site.

The HR.Law focus group of ARQIS has already been significantly involved in the establishment of European Companies (Societas Europaea/SE) of Volkswagen on several occasions in the past. In particular, the team around ARQIS partners Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier and Dr. Hendrik von Mellenthin has already supported the transformation of Volkswagen Truck & Bus AG into TRATON SE (Truck & Bus division of Volkswagen) as well as the new establishment of the automotive software company CARIAD SE.
