Future of Herz Jesu Hospital secured with help from ARQIS
24. July 2017
ARQIS has advised Orden der Missionsschwestern vom Hlst. Herzen Jesu (Order of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) during the sale of Herz Jesu Hospital Hiltrup.
The new responsible body and strategic partner will be the St Franziskus Foundation Münster. An appropriate agreement to this effect was now signed between the Hiltrup Missionary Sisters and the Franziskus Foundation.
In the future the Münster-based hospital will continue to unrestrictedly offer and further develop its medical and nursing care services in all clinics and with all its prime focuses as an efficient, independent institution in the association of the Franziskus Foundation. Consequently all of the more than 1,000 jobs will be retained. Furthermore, close cooperation with the Missionary Sisters was agreed after the change of the responsible body, which will probably take place in autumn.
St Franziskus Foundation Münster is one of the biggest denominational hospital groups in Germany. It is currently responsible for 14 hospitals and nine institutions for the handicapped and elderly in the federal states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Bremen. In addition, the Foundation is indirectly involved in the provision of ambulant rehabilitation centres, care services and hospices. More than 11,000 staff are employed in the Foundation’s facilities.

Following a recommendation by the chartered accountant firm Curacon, ARQIS received the mandate through a pitch. The Curacon team around Claudia Schürmann-Schütte and Karolin Kwickert managed the sales process for the Missionary Sisters.
