05. January 2016

The Munich office of ARQIS has been strengthened as of 1 January 2016 with two more partners. At the turn of the year, the transaction specialist » Dr. Daniel Wied « « joined the Munich office. The 37-year-old comes from DLA Piper in Munich, where he was recently involved in several well-known deals in the field of Private Equity and Venture Capital.

Following the engagement of IP Partner Marcus Nothhelfer a year ago, ARQIS’ Munich office has thus successfully taken a further step in enlarging the Munich presence. “With his expertise in M&A, Private Equity and Venture Capital, Dr. Daniel Wied fits in perfectly with our consulting focus in Munich” says » Prof. Dr. Christoph von Einem «, ARQIS partner and head of the Munich location. “We are delighted to add such a well-connected colleague to our circle of partners. This measure fuses stringently with our growth strategy.”

Dr. Daniel Wied began his career in the Munich and New York office of Kirkland & Ellis in 2009, where he was already involved in high-profile M&A and Private Equity deals. In 2014 he joined the DLA Piper team led by Dominik Stuehler and Dr. Jan Schinkoeth who had moved from Kirkland & Ellis to DLA Piper in late 2013.

Moreover, the internal partner promotion of » Dr. Meiko Dillmann « as of 1 January 2016 was announced. Dr. Dillmann started her career as an associate in ARQIS’ Japan team in 2010. In 2014 she moved to the Munich office in order to build up the Japan Desk in Munich. “With Dr. Meiko Dillmann, ARQIS’ Japan Desk has now established a partner presence at both German locations” the head of ARQIS’ Japan Desk, » Dr. Shigeo Yamaguchi « explains. ARQIS plans to further expand the Munich Japan-expertise in future.
