ARQIS advises Landis+Gyr on the acquisition of Rhebo

17. February 2021

ARQIS has advised Landis+Gyr on the acquisition of all shares in Rhebo GmbH, based in Leipzig. Rhebo’s innovative technology enables real-time detection of cyber security threats and other anomalies in network control systems. This enables energy providers and other customers to react immediately to cybersecurity threats.

Klaus Mochalski, co-founder and CEO of Rhebo, said, “We are excited to become part of the Landis+Gyr family and look forward to continuing to drive Rhebo’s development as the leadership team. We see unique opportunities to combine Rhebo’s innovative cybersecurity and anomalie detection solutions with Landis+Gyr’s market-leading portfolio and access to customers in the critical infrastructure sector.”

Landis+Gyr is a leading provider of integrated energy management solutions, primarily in the field of smart electricity meters. The Swiss group employs 5,500 people in over 30 countries and had revenues of around 1.7 billion dollars in 2019.

The ARQIS team led by partner Dr. Mirjam Boche advised Landis+Gyr for the first time on a recommendation and worked closely with Landis+Gyr’s in-house legal team on this transaction.
