Greenovis strengthens Hub Ost through merger with Berlin-based Otto Kittel Group

ARQIS has provided comprehensive legal advice to the Greenovis Group, a portfolio company of Aurelius Wachstumskapital, on its merger with the Otto Kittel Group. With the acquisition of the Otto Kittel Group, consisting of Otto Kittel and Kittel und Kruska, Greenovis is continuing its growth trajectory and strengthening its presence in eastern Germany. Greenovis will also benefit from additional capacity, complementary expertise and a broader service portfolio in key business areas.

The Greenovis Group, headquartered in Langenfeld, brings together companies from across Germany operating in the gardening and landscaping sector. Its service offering includes gardening and landscaping, sports field construction, playground construction, green roofs, façade greening, as well as the maintenance and upkeep of green spaces. It is Germany’s leading corporate group in this field.

The Berlin-based Otto Kittel Group employs around 200 people and is one of the most renowned providers in gardening and landscaping as well as green space and tree maintenance. Otto Kittel, headquartered in Berlin-Marienfelde with a branch in Zorbau near Halle/Leipzig, serves public-sector and commercial clients, particularly in demanding large-scale landscaping projects.

Kittel und Kruska, based in Berlin-Zehlendorf, emerged from the Otto Kittel Group in 2008. The company specializes in green space and tree maintenance as well as landscaping, serving public-sector, commercial and private clients.

An ARQIS team headed by Partner Thomas Chwalek advised the Greenovis Group on all legal aspects of this transaction. Greenovis has once again relied on the expertise of the ARQIS team headed by Partner Chwalek. Most recently, ARQIS advised on the merger with grün ER leben GmbH.
