ARQIS advises Alloheim on acquisition of CMS Unternehmensgruppe
31. October 2018
ARQIS has advised Alloheim Senioren-Residenzen SE on the acquisition of the Cologne-based CMS Unternehmensgruppe. The takeover is subject to approval of the antitrust authorities.
After the transaction’s closing, which is expected to be carried out by the end of the year, Alloheim will combine about 21,000 care beds and apartments for assisted living under one umbrella.
CMS operates 23 nursing homes with about 2,000 care beds, an outpatient nursing service, day care services, and about 300 apartments for assisted living. Since its foundation in 1990 by Klaus Rosenthal, CMS has constantly expanded its regional presence and today has operations in Lower Saxony, Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, and North Rhine-Westphalia.
Rainer Hohmann, Managing Director at Alloheim, says: “We are delighted that we could persuade the founding family Rosenthal of a partnership with Alloheim. Our companies are linked by a clear commitment to being a quality provider. We adjust our care to the individual needs of our residents and patients and conduct an open dialogue with relatives and authorities. We are looking forward to working with CMS, its employees and its directors.”
ARQIS has already been involved in many of Alloheim Group’s add-on acquisitions since 2010, e.g. during the acquisition of Senterra AG. ARQIS also regularly advises Alloheim on real estate matters.
