Intro

The Japan Desk in Düsseldorf and Munich advises well-known Japanese companies specifically on M&A and joint venture activities in Germany - with Japanese-speaking (and thinking) lawyers. For cross-border transactions, we work together with our Tokyo office and our partner firm TMI Associates, one of the top 5 law firms in Japan. Clients include automotive suppliers, equipment manufacturers, chemical companies, industrial product manufacturers, telecommunications companies, banks, trading houses, advertising agencies and fashion companies.

Do you want to become a lawyer (m/f/d) and test your aptitude at an internationally operating business boutique such as ARQIS before or during your legal traineeship in the legal or elective station? Then this is the right place for you.

Your tasks

• Accompanied by a mentor close & hands-on involvement in conducting Japan-related due diligences.
• Support in the preparation of related documentation in the context of corporate transactions
• Involvement in client work, preparation and follow-up of client appointments
• Researching and drafting legal memoranda on relevant issues in the M&A context

Your Profile

• Above-average completion of the first state examination
• Very good knowledge of English, basic knowledge of Japanese an advantage
• Interest in economic contexts and processes
• Your available working time is at least 3 days a week
