ARQIS is once again one of Germany’s recommendable commercial law firms, which are regularly presented by the news magazine Focus in a special edition.
ARQIS was awarded the label “Top Commercial Law Firm 2018“ in the fields of M&A, corporate and labour law. In this year’s edition, Focus also published a portrait of Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier, head of the firm’s labour law team and managing partner.
The labour law team around Dr. Andrea Panzer-Heemeier regularly advises companies, institutions, and executives on all matters of individual and collective labour in court as well as out of court. Employee data protection is another focus of the team. It has furthermore just accompanied the SE transformation of Traton, formerly Volkswagen Bus & Truck, on the side of the employee representatives.
The corporate and M&A team around Dr. Jörn-Christian Schulze, Prof. Dr. Christoph von Einem, Dr. Shigeo Yamaguchi and Andreas Dietl regularly advises on matters of corporate law, restructuring measures, cross border mergers and acquisitions, public take overs and joint ventures. During the last months, the M&A team was involved in important deals, e.g. for sweets manufacturer Katjes and technology group Oerlikon. ARQIS lawyers also accompanied JX Nippon Mining & Metals Corporation during the acquisition of all shares in H.C Starck Tantal and Niobium GmbH.
The Focus Magazine publishing house had commissioned the Hamburg-based market research company Statista to research the top commercial law firms in Germany in a total of 26 fields of law. Assessment parameters included recommendations by competitors from other law firms as well as employees from legal departments of companies.
