Future of brands Ezetil and Alpengaudi secured with help from ARQIS

()

ARQIS advises the entrepreneur family Zorn in selling the business enterprise of the insolvent IPV Inheidener Produktions- und Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH to the Dometic Group.

IPV was a leading manufacturer and distributor of products in the field of mobile cooling and other outdoor products. In August the traditional company from Hungen-Inheiden filed an application for insolvency at Gießen Local Court. Dr. Jan Markus Plathner from the law firm Brinkmann & Partner was appointed as insolvency administrator. He transferred the business enterprise to Sweden’s Dometic. Dometic is a global leading manufacturer of “mobile living” products with around 6,500 employees.

Through continuation under the roof of Dometic the future of the successful IPV products are ensured, including the famous Ezetil coolers, Alpengaudi sledges as well as thermos flasks marketed under the brand La Playa. 25 of the around 40 initial jobs remain at the location in Hungen-Inheiden.

ARQIS advised IPV before filing for insolvency, and subsequently supported the founding family Zorn in the insolvency proceedings during negotiations with Dometic.
