ARQIS accompanies TerraLoupe’s second financing round

10. April 2017

ARQIS has advised the Munich-based start-up TerraLoupe during its second financing round. A family office as well as previous investors participated in the seven-digit investment.

TerraLoupe creates a new basis for autonomous driving through an intelligent analysis of aerial photograph data. The company’s technology relies on artificial intelligence and enables efficient, highly-automated preparation of digital map material.

This enables for the first time comprehensive recognition and processing of objects and infrastructures. For instance, TerraLoupe can record the most precise details of road networks. Right down to a few centimetres the information is so exact that suitable equipped self-driving vehicles are able to respond to their environment. Precise knowledge of infrastructures is not only interesting for automobile manufacturers, but also for companies from other sectors such as Business Intelligence, Energy Supply and Insurance.

ARQIS’ partner Prof. Dr. Christoph von Einem had already supervised TerraLoupe’s seed financing round almost a year ago. Back then Bayern Kapital and a consortium of business angels participated.

Advisors to TerraLoupe
