ARQIS has advised Alloheim Senioren-Residenzen SE on the acquisition of Senterra AG.

The takeover of the care home operator is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities and will take place retroactively as of January 1, 2017.

Senterra AG was founded in 1997 and is based in Lich, Hesse. Senterra operates twelve senior care homes in Germany with around 1,200 care beds and an out-patient service. Its care facilities are located in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Berlin, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saxony.

The Düsseldorf-based Alloheim Group is a major private care home operator. With this acquisition it will expand to about 19,700 care beds and apartments for sheltered housing.

The M&A teams of Alloheim and ARQIS successfully concluded the transaction within only two months. ARQIS has already been involved in many of the Alloheim Group’s add-on acquisitions since 2010, the most recent being the purchase of the care home operator AGO around one year ago. ARQIS also regularly advises Alloheim on real estate matters.

As was the case for the acquisition of AGO, Alloheim was additionally supported by the team around Wladimir Safoschnik from RIAG Beteiligungs GmbH.
